The Spring 2022 edition of the Epsilon Alpha Chapter newsletter "Sigma News" is available for download below. Be sure to make note of the plans for Homecoming weekend, October 29-30.
Homecoming this year is the weekend of November 5-7. The football game on the 6th features the 'Cats vs. the Cal Golden Bears. EA chapter events start at the U of A mall on the 6th and move to the EA house after the game. There's also an open house before the game. Food and beverages are available at the house both before and after the game. The house is located at 1104 E. 7th Street. If you plan to attend these EA events, contact Jake Faigus (EA alumni chairman) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We now have a members-only social media site established at "Gab". Unlike Twitter, Gab is a social network that actually champions free speech, individual liberty, and the free flow of information online.
If you'd like to participate:
The Epsilon Alpha colony at the UofA was officially rechartered on October 14, 2020. Colony members were initiated into the Sigma Nu brotherhood on January 16, 2021.
Sigma Nu’s annual Day of Giving occurs in mid-October in commemoration of the moonlit October night of 1868 on which our Founders gathered at the Rock on the parade ground of Virginia Military Institute to form a brotherhood dedicated to Love, Honor, and Truth. During this year’s Day of Giving, Sigma Nu will focus on the Fraternity’s programs to support mental health and well-being.
Your Day of Giving support this year will help Sigma Nu continue to provide these programs in support of this critical mission component to foster the personal growth of each man’s Mind, Heart, and Character.
Please mark Sigma Nu’s Day of Giving, October 15, 2020, on your calendar. For details on how you can participate, please visit www.sigmanu.org.
If you find yourself frustrated with having to type our rather lengthy web address (www.uofasigmanualumni.com) into your browsers Internet address (URL) line (most likely because you never got around to saving it as a 'Bookmark' or 'Favorite' on your PC), Never fear, you can now simply type 'bit.ly/beardownaz' in that pesky URL box to get here. However, be advised that if you don't include 'az' at the end of 'beardown' you'll end up at the website for a company that sells Bear Down Arizona apparel. So be sure to (phonetically) enter: bit [dot symbol] ly [slash symbol] beardownaz (all lowercase letters and without spaces).
